Melanie Clyburn received her Masters of Accountancy with a concentration in Tax & Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Melanie started her career in public accounting where she was previously employed by one of the big four accounting firms. For several years, she assisted companies with corporate and partnership tax compliance and planning. Her primary service areas includes:
Multi-tiered partnerships, corporations, individuals, estates and trusts
Tax research and analysis for filing methodologies
State tax apportionment
Tax compliance for clients with recent restructuring, mergers and acquisitions
IRS and State Department tax notice representation
Melanie worked on various clients ranging from real estate, telecommunications, financial services, alternative investments, retail and healthcare.
Her background in technology and previous projects designed to implement Six Sigma and Lean principles has led to the firm's ability to leverage technology to improve our efficiency and effectiveness in providing client services and building strong client relationships.
She has been involved with Family for Literacy, Junior Achievement, Room at the Inn, Habitat for Humanity and Charlotte Rescue Mission.
